Background

Progoti Samaj Kallayan Protisthan (PSKP & PPS )PA-09

Introduction : Progoti Samaj Kallayan Protisthan (PSKP & PPS ) is a non-governmental and non profitable organization was formed in may'1980. It started its activities as a Voluntary Organization under the registration of the Directorate of Social Services ( Reg. No. DSS/Dac-0841 Date : 02/05/1980, the Directorate of Family Planning ( Reg. No. Dac - 23 Date : 30/09/1991) and the NGO Affairs Bureau ( Reg. No. FDR - 307 Date : 12/07/1989) of the Government of Bangladesh.

Aims : PSKP aims to ensure sustainable livehoods of the down trodden community through providing quality health services that contributes to generate income and scale up their status.

Objectives :

PSKPs' objective are to :

* Provide quality health care services in urban and rural areas.
* Undertake programs/projects for socio-economic development of the poor
* Raise conciseness about human rights especially women and child rights etc.
* Initiate programs/projects on climate change.
* Capacity development for institutional strengthening.

Management and functions : PSKP is governed by an Executive Committee consisting of 21 ( Twenty One ) members headed by the president. They are elected by the general body of the members and responsible for setting up standards and reviewing the overall policy of the organization. They are reportable to Executive Committee. The Executive Director is fully responsible for overall execution and implementation of the Programs/Projects. She/he assisted by a group of qualified and experienced professions.
