| Introduction:Some social activities, dreamt a dream to work among the drug addict being touched by heartbreaking shed tears of some unfortunate drug addicts parents. Finally, their dream gave birth a new baby with a specific mission. In 1997 in the name of Khulna Mukti Seba Sangstha (KMSS). Khulna means Name of the city, Mukti means Liberty, Seba means Service, Sangstha means Organization. Sequentially it grew up with more responsibilities to meet the increasing community need. Khulna Mukti Seba Sangstha (KMSS) is a non-government and non profit organization and it works for the improvement of life status of poor and social development by undertaking various programs and projects. Vision of KMSS: To build a healthy society where all people are able to meet the basic human needs with full of joy and peace. Mission of KMSS: *Committed to serve the communities who are oppressed , poor and vulnerable. *Promote full human transformation and bring positive changes in their lives. *Response to the emergency needs of the target community especially promising youth, children and women that affecting themselves physically mentally and environmentally. *Enhance moral and spiritual values that assist the community to lead a peaceful holly life. Operations under UPHCP-II: The KMSS has been contracted to provide primary health care and related services under UPHCP II in Three project areas i.e. PA01 under Bogra Municipal (BM), PA01 under Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and PA02 under Dhaka Citty Corporation. Each of these areas function under the respective Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the city corporations and Municipal. The KMSS has been involved with this project since its inception. The project area (PA01) under Bogra Municipal covers an area of 11 words. Total house hold are 32454 and we are Distribute red Card 10259 in this 11 Word of Bogra Municipal PA01. Facilities for Delivery of Services: For PA01 (BM), ths KMSS provides the health care services through 1 CRHCC, 5 PHCC, 1 VCCTC and 1 PECC. Functions of PANGOs: The PANGOs are expected to: (i) Assist/contribute in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the project activities and also in developing future strategies by making recommendations. (ii) Monitor project activities and supervise the work of supervisee staff directly through regular field visit and providing on-site technical assistance (hand on training) (iii) Organize and facilitate monthly staff meeting to review progress and develop actions for further improvements and reach the contract conditions (iv) Preparation of the annual work plan with target (quality, coverage and goals), budget and project implementation report. Achievements. The KMSS has been providing health care services on an average of per day 40 patients in every PHSS and 80 Patients in CRHCC for PA01 (BM). The average percentages of very poor, poor and paying clients are xx, xx and xx respectively. Since the inception of the project, in spite of steady rise in the very poor and poor category of clients, the KMSS has been able to provide satisfactory services to its clients. |
